Who we are

Dr Mohammed Noaman (GMC 7521903) provides independent medico-legal expert witness services through Aya Med Ltd. Face-to-face examinations take place at Clinica Vitalis, a CQC-registered clinical venue. This notice explains how Aya Med Ltd processes your personal information as a data controller, in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we process, and why

As a claimant, you (or the Official Injury Claim portal on your behalf) provide us with personal data so that Dr Noaman can prepare an independent medico-legal report. This may include your name, contact details and date of birth; details of the accident and your account of your injuries; health information relevant to the examination and report; and identity documents where these are checked at your appointment.

We process this data because it is necessary for Dr Noaman to perform his role as an independent medico-legal expert, and, in relation to health information, because it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

How long we keep it

Medico-legal case records, including your report and supporting materials, are retained for 7 years from completion of the case, consistent with Dr Noaman's professional indemnity requirements.

Who we share it with

  • Trikon Digital Ltd, the case management and report production software, acting as data processor.
  • The instructing party (the Official Injury Claim portal / MedCo, and any solicitor or compensator named in your instruction), as required to deliver the completed report.
  • MedCo, where required for audit, quality assurance or complaint-handling purposes.
  • Clinica Vitalis, the examination venue, to the limited extent needed for booking and reception.
  • Dr Noaman's accountant and professional indemnity provider, where necessary for invoicing, tax or insurance purposes.
  • The Information Commissioner's Office, HMRC or a court, where required by law.

We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes, and we do not transfer your data outside the UK.
